So on Monday, my baby girl turned 3 years old. Excuse me, whilst I go sob in the corner!!

She had a little tea party at the in-laws on Sunday – we had lush weather and were able to stay out in the garden all afternoon! My folks went over for it too, so it was a lovely family afternoon for her, with much cake (although, whilst the one I made her looked rather good, unfortunately it’s taste wasn’t so good! Luckily the muffins were much more of a success!) and nibbly bits!
Then on Monday, we went to Saltburn for the day. Where the weather was cold, windy and overcast. Joy! But Sophia had fun, and that’s what the day was about! She got many a present from the husband’s rather large family as well as a few bits&bobs from us, along with a Disney Princess scooter (now her pride and joy!).

In Saltburn, we also managed to catch a bit of filming going on – new British film “Electricity” was being filmed on the beach and promenade! The front was simply being dressed, but we also managed to see Agyness Deyn filming on the beach too (see below!)! Christian Cooke and Lenora Crichlow are also apparently starring in the film too, but we didn’t see them! Quite exciting though, and unexpected!

My lovely friend Karen got me the Green & Black Chocolate cookbook for my birthday last year, and as usual with any recipe book, it wasn’t used much. So with the free time, I finally put it to good use! I made some chocolate scones, and a chocolate and banana bread loaf. Both turned out well (surprisingly!), and are quite a tasty treat this weekend!
Other than that, this weekend functioned as normal. Food shopping got done, with our customary visit to the Sainsbury’s cafe (Pictured with Sophia!). A rather nice weekend, before the long week ahead at work! Five more days though, and we’re off for a week! Excited!
